Trustee Bios

 

Charles (“Chuck”) Longfield is the founder of Target Software, Inc. and Target Analysis Group, Inc., leading providers of software and information processing services to large, not-for-profit organizations. Chuck holds a B.A. in mathematics and an M.Ed. from Harvard University and is certified to teach secondary school mathematics. He has more than 35 years of experience helping not-for-profits to improve their fundraising operations. Prior to founding the Target companies, he taught math to middle and high school students in the greater Boston area.

Chuck, who grew up in East Boston, is an alumnus of the Boston Latin School (BLS) class of 1974 and has remained active in the school community. He is a former chairperson of the BLS Alumni Association’s Board of Directors and former Treasurer of the Shady Hill School in Cambridge. He is an Overseer of WGBH Education Foundation and the Mt. Auburn Hospital, and serves on the Leadership Council of Lesley University. Chuck also co-founded Boston Leaders for Education, a group of business and civic leaders, that focuses on increasing the number of high performing Boson Public Schools.

Chuck is a 1997 graduate of the National Conference for Community and Justice’s LeadBoston program.

Susan (“Susie”) Longfield is a former high school English teacher. She holds a B.A. from Princeton and an M.Ed. from Harvard Graduate School of Education. She is the co-founder of the Saturday Success School Program at Boston Latin School and a current board member of Writers Express.
