Trustee Bios


Charles (“Chuck”) Longfield is the founder of Target Software, Inc. and Target Analysis Group, Inc., leading providers of software and information processing services to large, not-for-profit organizations. Chuck holds a B.A. in mathematics and an M.Ed. from Harvard University and is certified to teach secondary school mathematics. He has more than 40 years of experience helping not-for-profits improve their fundraising operations. Prior to founding the Target companies, he taught math to middle and high school students in the greater Boston area.

Chuck, who grew up in East Boston, is an alumnus of the Boston Latin School (BLS) class of 1974 and has remained active in the school community. He is a former chairperson of the BLS Alumni Association’s Board of Directors and former Treasurer of the Shady Hill School in Cambridge. He is an Overseer of WGBH Education Foundation and the Mt. Auburn Hospital, and has served on the Leadership Council of Lesley University. Chuck also co-founded Boston Leaders for Education, a group of business and civic leaders, that focuses on increasing the number of high performing Boson Public Schools.

Chuck is a 1997 graduate of the National Conference for Community and Justice’s LeadBoston program.

Susie Mees Longfield is a former middle and high school English teacher. She holds a A.B. from Princeton and an Ed.M. from Harvard Graduate School of Education. She is the former Program Coordinator of Saturday Success School and the Alumni Mentor Program at Boston Latin School.
